Why Adriatica Village Is Perfect for Bridal Portraits (+ Madison’s Storybook Session)

Adriatica Village in McKinney, TX is one of the most unique backdrops for bridal portraits in North Texas, and Madison made it feel straight out of a storybook.

With its stone architecture, quiet cobblestone streets, and European-inspired charm, Adriatica feels tucked away from the world. Every corner offers texture, shape, and light that make portraits feel timeless.

Adriatica Village offers a variety of backdrops to diversify your shoot:

  • Tuscan streets and sidewalks

  • Gorgeous lakefront waters

  • Hilly greenscapes

Madison is a book lover, and she wanted that part of her personality to come through in her session. She and her husband Mattie met in a library, and in their early days, he asked her to prom with a library card. SO CUTE! This spot couldn't have been more fitting. The narrow alleys, ivy-covered archways, and stillness of the lake gave us the perfect setting for portraits that felt thoughtful, quiet, and full of character — just like her.

One of our favorite moments was photographing Madison beside the stone chapel as golden hour started to settle in. The light was soft, the wind was calm, and she looked completely at home in her dress, holding her favorite novel between shots.

We’re so grateful Madison invited us to capture her bridal session and her wedding day.

If you're considering Adriatica for your bridal portraits, we’d say go for it. It’s beautiful on camera, calm in real life, and easy to make your own.
