Welcome
We are so honored you’re considering inviting us to be a small part of your special day. We know wedding planning can be overwhelming and how easy it can be to get lost in the details, but we hope to provide you with whatever support you need to focus on what really matters: the vows you’re making between you and your soon-to-be-spouse.
Below you’ll find a small guide dedicated to our brides (and grooms) that will walk you through what to expect when working with Last Light, some things that set us apart, details about investment, and some frequently asked questions. Whether you end up booking with us or finding someone who better suits your day, we hope this guide has something to offer you and aids you in your wedding planning journey.
Blessings,
Michael and Giulia
What sets us apart
-
Most photographers and videographers price their packages based on the number of coverage hours on the day of your wedding. We don’t.
We found hourly packages to be too limiting for us as filmmakers and for our brides as they had to prioritize the most important parts of their wedding day.
We typically start 3-5 hours before your ceremony and stay until your exit, but we’ll work with you to make the perfect timeline.
-
Other wedding vendors have described us as being a “fly on the wall.” We’re unobtrusive, but we don’t miss a moment.
You’ll find our films are generally chronological, narrative-driven, and emotive – quiet when you’re quiet, building when you build, and dropping epic dance moves when you do. Our photography is true-to-life and not overly-colorized or dramatically edited. We love warmth, contrast, and sunset colors, but we can rock that light and airy style, too.
-
Occasionally we get to bring additional professionals to shoot with us. We only work with people we’d trust to shoot our own wedding. If we bring extra help, we guarantee it’ll be with top talent.
FAQs
-
We try to deliver wedding films and photo galleries within three months of your wedding day, and wedding film teasers are delivered within two weeks.
-
Photos and films are delivered via personalized, password-protected digital galleries. There, you can download photos and film deliverables, share with friends, and order prints.
-
We sure do! As long as the weather is favorable, we have time before the ceremony, and your venue isn’t in or near a restricted area (like an airport), we try to fly our drone at every wedding, and we don’t charge any extra for it.
-
You can expect a minimum of 40-60 photos per hour of coverage, however, you’ll usually get more than that. You will receive the best photos we take with no limit on your max gallery size. We usually just delete unusable (blurry/out of focus), unflattering, or redundant shots, and you get the rest!

We offer four main types of video deliverables: wedding films, teasers, documentaries, and uncut ceremony films.
Think of your wedding film like a cinematic movie, a teaser like a movie trailer, and a documentary like an extended home video.
Your wedding film will be set to music, and will include the best audio selections from your ceremony, private letter readings, toasts, and anything else we record. Your teaser will be about a minute long, and you’ll receive it within 2 weeks of your wedding date. Documentaries tend to be about an hour long, are compiled in chronological order, and are accompanied by the natural audio from your wedding day.
Our uncut ceremony films include your entire wedding ceremony from start to finish, shot from a minimum of 3 different angles and with clean audio from your ceremony speakers and musicians. It’ll be as long as your ceremony is!
If you have a project in mind that we don’t typically offer, feel free to ask about it!

A QUICK GUIDE TO THE PERFECT WEDDING
Photographs
Allow your photographer to arrive 3-5 hours before the ceremony so you have plenty of time for details.
Have your details gathered securely before your photographers arrive. Consider items like your rings, necklace, bracelets, shoes, invitations and envelopes (bring 2 if they’re double-sided!), perfume or cologne, and anything else that may be special to you or tie in your wedding colors.
Inform your photographer of any special circumstances that may be relevant to your friends and family. We don’t need too many details, but a little insight can help us prioritize (or avoid) certain photos.
Create a photo list and provide it to your planner and photographer, especially for family photos.
Bonus Tip: Use people’s actual names! “Cara” is way more helpful than “Bride’s mom” when we’re calling out names to gather people in large groups.
Choose a photographer whose work matches your taste and makes you feel comfortable. They’re going to be with you ALL day. You want to be able to feel natural in front of the camera and trust the person behind it!
A QUICK GUIDE TO THE PERFECT WEDDING
Film
Allow your videographer to arrive 3-5 hours before the ceremony so you have plenty of time for details, drone videography, and more. The getting ready moments count, too!
Let your videographers put microphones on all speakers, especially the bride, groom, and officiant. Brides, we have discreet microphones for you that won’t be seen in any photographs!
Do a first look OR a first touch with the bride and groom with a private letter reading.
Bonus Tip: Start your letter by addressing your fiancé, and end it with your own name. For example, “Dear (name),” and “Love, (name).” It sounds great in the film!
Notify us of any special speakers, musicians, speeches, or ceremonies. We’re quick on our feet if something unexpected happens throughout the day, but the more we know in advance, the more we can plan for to get adequate coverage.
Relax and be yourself on camera! It may take you some time to warm up on the day of and that’s okay, but have fun with it and try to forget the cameras are there. Our footage should tell your story and be true to you.
