Claire and Carson
Claire and Carson were married on a gorgeous spring day at White Oak Venue in Ruston, Louisiana. They had been together for nearly 4 years before tying the knot, and their love for each other was so clear through their teary-eyed letter readings and first look. We loved their wedding and had so much fun editing it into a film! Keep reading for our three biggest takeaways and tips based on Claire and Carson’s day.

Record your speeches! A lot of people will argue that photographs capture all the details you need from your wedding day. That’s just not true! We love that Claire and Carson can hear snippets of their groomsmen and bridesmaids deliver their speeches for the rest of their lives. Since we recorded the whole day, we were even able to include Carson’s toast with his groomsmen. So worth it!
Be yourself. That seems really cliche, but we REALLY mean it. Our favorite moments in film are when our couples forget we’re there and soak in every moment. Carson’s groomsmen surrounded him for a send-off chant that added a really special element (and epilogue) to their film - we LOVED that, but would never think to tell our couples to do that! If you have stage fright, just remember: we’re just there because the cameras can’t hold themselves up. We take your day, put it in film, and then you get to relish in it forever. You can make sure your film is representative of you by being yourself in front of the camera!
Write your spouse a letter to read on your wedding day. Some couples choose to read their letters privately, and some choose to read them on camera. If you’re on camera, your precious, emotional, and heartfelt words can ONLY enhance your film and help you to relive your day. If you’re not, that letter is still such a sweet memento of how you felt on the day you commit your life to your best friend. Bonus points if your spouse’s love language is words of affirmation.
Always include your pets. Not for any logistical reasons. We just fell in love with Aspen (Claire and Carson’s PRECIOUS pup) on their wedding day, and we want to fall in love with your pets, too.
